Yacht Club BARKAS - welcome

Yacht Club BARKAS exist since 1991 and permament put in „Zalew Wiślany” and „Mierzeja Wiślana” landscape.
It’s headquarters is located in little and quiet with fishing and tourist charakter village of Kąty Rybackie. Here up to year 2005 during summertime yacht harbour with boatbuildery workshop offering services for visiting yachts was kept.

After the summer Y/C BARKAS performed rebuildings, adaptations and general overhauls of tourists and fishing vessels operating in „Zalew Wiślany” and Baltic sea area.

In 2005 Y/C „BARKAS” on basis of cooperation agreements with GSR REMONTOWA undertook building of two stel launches for off-shore MFT vessels intended for shipowners: Scotish – „LIGHT HOSE” and English – „TRYNITHY HOUSE”.
Since that it has been performing mostly ship buildins and re-buildings.
Yacht Club „BARKAS” owner is Thomas Fic.

Range of services:

  1. We perform complete buildings and re-buildings of steel and glass-polyester laminate vessels. [click here for examples]
  2. We perform engine fittings, starting with choosing engine and it’s essential parts than dismantling the old one, preparing foundations and fitting new. So far we were fitting Yanmar, Nanni and Sole Diesel engines.
  3. We perform general overhauls of laminate made hulls. [click here for photos]
  4. We build small crafts:
    - pedal boats – flat type and on wheels type
    - fishing boats – oar proppeled and push-type
    - kayaks and canoes
  5. We undertake every challange in range of steel and laminate boatbuildery.
